This would be a good reason if it were true, but it isn't in practice : by the time a first developer preview is released (for El Capitan this was back in June), virtually all major API changes for this OS version have been decided and are included. But as a developer, you at least absolutely know that if some of your stuff is already broken now because of obvious API changes (not just bugs in the beta as it is), this ain't gonna fix itself magically before release and you should definitely get going and fix that soon.Īt any rate, 10.11 Golden Master (=feature complete) has been available to public testers (not just developers) for 1 month : any plug-in maker claiming to just have discovered problems and started to fix them come next Wednesday, is not being responsible with their customers. ![]() ![]() ![]() What might change is bugs getting fixed, possibly a self-contained feature being added later.
